Habitat builds homes in Kings County
Habitat for Humanity is again making plans to build homes in Kings County. We have purchased a lot at 1130 Kaweah in Hanford and are working towards breaking ground in early fall. We are presently taking applications for homeowners in the Hanford area. If you would like more information about qualifications CLICK HERE!
The first Habitat house in the county was build in Hanford in 2007. At that time, more than 10 congregations and a team of incredible community members joined togther to make a commitment to building home and hope. That first house led to three more first-time homeowners as well as dozens of home repair projects to help those challenged by age, disability and circumstance.
In 2016, Habitat’s service area was officially expanded to include Kings County and we became Habitat for Humanity of Tulare/Kings Counties. We have big plans to work with the community to provide decent and affordable housing opportunities to families and neighbors in Hanford, Lemoore, Corcoran and surrounding areas.
You can join us by donating to the “Building in Kings County” fund. Every dollar you give is an investment in the future of local families and the entire community. These funds will be allocated to support the Kaweah Home-ownership project in Hanford.
