Trained Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are essential to the construction, remodel or repair of every Habitat for Humanity home and our home repair program. Habitat for Humanity is always looking for volunteers interested in joining our construction team as Crew Leaders. These volunteers must be educated in the construction trades or specialize in a certain area of construction such as plumbing, framing, electrical and others. For more information, please contact Ron Rindge, Construction Manager, at 559.734.4040.
Crew Leader: Crew leaders need some construction and/or teaching/managing/supervising experience, a willingness to learn new skills, and the commitment to volunteer when needed. Crew leaders may work in various phases of construction including framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, etc. A crew leader may choose to work in one or more phases of construction. Now that Habitat for Humanity is purchasing and remodeling foreclosed homes and helping homeowners with critical home repairs, crew leaders with experience are needed. Many of the remodeling tasks require a slightly higher level of experience to help volunteers with job site tasks.
Site Supervisor: Site supervisors need to be knowledgeable in construction and able to manage the project from start to finish.
